Les Heures was Cartier’s (and Mathilde Laurent’s) first large-scale perfumery project. Cartier makes watches with Roman numerals on the face, so there are XII Heures, except they added one to make XIII. I imagine every perfumer dreams of being asked to do such a thing with artistic freedom and a good formula budget. They are not widely distributed. Some, like XI and XIII have become legendary in the perfume world. Cartier kindly sent samples of all of them.
