I first became aware of Euan McCall’s work in 2018 with Neanderthal, which I liked a lot. More recently, I reviewed the Senyokō line, which was done by him, and a commenter pointed out that McCall had his own line, Jorum Studio. They sent samples. The overall feel of Jorum Studio is delightful inventiveness. The line is large, so there are bound to be hits and misses, but overall satisfying to review. This said, I think even (especially?) someone as inventive as Euan McCall needs a saturnine art director or evaluator to push him to give his very best.
