Yesterday at Luckyscent, I smelled something I thought was impossible: a real gardenia. The smell of Gardenia is an inexplicable marvel: it is so much like a perfume that it makes you wonder whether pollinating insects discuss layering with each other between shifts. It is famously the sum of a white flowers accord and a mushroom note, but in my experience adding a mushroom note to white flowers does not guarantee a gardenia.
