Space Fluid
high concept
Space Fluid is a Czech perfumery based in Prague, in my experience the most alchemically romantic city on Earth. Their webpage surprised me by linking to a post by physicist and blogger Sabine Hossenfelder about a black hole simulation, and a scientific article showing that mice inherit smell preferences. The intent is to bolster the notion that space is a fluid like perfume, and that perfume transcends time. Space Fluid is the work of Markéta Banková, an artist and —unsurprisingly— science writer. The perfumes are expensive: €340 for the plainest (hand-painted) bottle, €700 for the fanciest one.
Samples kindly provided by Bloom Perfumery.
For paid subscribers: reviews of High to Lotus, Whispering Fields, Narcis Nocturne and Lovely Problem.
