Once again, I snorted and then laughed out loud, leading adorable hubby to ask if I was all right. I might try a sample of the Zoologist one. Always entertaining, always educational-I need to dig out my organic chemistry book, which is now rather like my Spanish, I recognize the words, but don't remember exactly what they mean!

Luca, have you ever reviewed Oriza L. Legrand perfumes? I’m especially curious what you might think of current Chypre Mousse (1914).

King Cobra sounds good! I think that Night Flyer from Olympic Orchids by Ellen Covey (i.e. allegedly the original Bat by Zoologist) also uses geosmin nicely. In that case, she combines it with olibanum, some fruity notes, and vetiver to great effect.

Chanel N. 22 (1922) a copy of White Linen (1978)? Isn't it the other way around? Or do you mean maybe that the current N. 22 should be considered as a more recent composition?

By the way, I think I have mentionned it somewhere else, but it may have gotten lost in the flow of comments: I would love if you could review the fragrances by Les Indémodables (lesindemodables-parfums.com).

Thanks!

Riveting as usual, and also hilarious: "I’ve just opened two windows and the cat is trying to escape."

Poor cat was trying to escape both centrally and peripherally

It was a massively laboured way of saying that Untameable! sounds so bad it must be some kind of feline nerve agent. Window 1 = central nervous system, window 2 = peripheral nervous system. You know what they say: the best jokes have footnotes.

I cannot agree more with the comment above, that your writing is “always entertaining, always educational “.

Also, I want to love TDN so badly, but cannot. I don’t know why I want to or why I can’t —it’s been a bit crushing. Your synopsis covers it. I’m off to check out the Lush fragrances mentioned much earlier here—amazingly there is a Lush store in Anchorage, Alaska, and they seem to have Vegan Leather Jacket in stock, as well as Ginger!

PPS—May we please have portraits of your beautiful Greek kitty? I loved seeing her occasionally on that bird app.

Also, I thought I couldn’t adore Tania more than I do, but I was wrong.

Your review of Untamable gave me a great laugh to start the day. I love your reviews so much! I have not liked anything from Imaginary Authors and I have tried a few. I concur on Teint de Neige. It was a 'meh' for me. The photo is perfect...

Badedas! We always had that when I was a kid. I adored the pink version.

When I worked at the (now closed) branch of Les Senteurs behind Oxford Street, we stocked up on Teint de Neige for the summer months because the visiting Arabs would buy it ALL. We could not replenish fast enough.
