Last time Oksana Polyakova at Bloom Perfumery sent samples, the lot included 18 fragrances from a brand I’d never heard of: Commodity, the first “digitally-native” (?) fragrance brand. My reviewing mood always sinks in proportion to the number of samples arrayed before me, so I set them aside.
I recently looked them up on the Michael Edwards database and found the fragrances are supplied by Robertet, an excellent outfit, so I plucked up the courage to smell all 18. Or actually 6 x 3, since they come in six categories, namely Gold, Milk, Juice, Book, Moss and Paper, each one declined in variants called Personal, Bold and Balanced & Expressive1.
They retail in the UK for £135/100 ml.
For paid subscribers: aggregated capsule reviews of all 18 fragrances. I am throwing the samples away so as to not inflict them on anyone the next time I do a sample giveaway.
