On your way back from Baku, I recommend taking it through ancient turkish Lycia, at a hill called YanartaÅŸ near the city of Olympos (Kemer/Antalya district) there are also gas eruptions burning, the flames are visible from the sea. And that is the (real!!) seat of the ancient Chimeras, who.... you know the rest of the myth I am sure. :)
Looking at all these pics --that's allot bang for yr tourist buck ;-). This is as good as that burning town in the Pennsylvania Poconos somewhere (!) (actually maybe it's the Alleghenys).
