Guerlain has released three parfum versions of their best-known masculines. While I love the originals, and think richer, more concentrated men’s fragrances are a good thing, this is a disappointing trio, not even worthy of capsule reviews.
Vetiver Parfum is a sub-par rehash and adds nothing. L’Homme Idéal Parfum is the familiar Cool Water + Mulled Wine affair we all know and love, not noticeably more concentrated. Habit Rouge Parfum is slightly more interesting, because it delays the pressing, languorous horn call of the original by a few minutes behind some warm rum-like notes.

Will get back to Guerlain in good time and plug the gaps!
I wish Guerlain would stop its marketeer approach and simply bring back into production: Derby, Mouchoir de M. — and I’d also like the Habit de Fête resurrected.
