Totally fascinated by this and glad to know about this supplier for their large and interesting range. I've used Lavender a lot as aromatherapy, but have decided to hold back for a few weeks after having read near-plausible studies about its ability to disrupt hormones, for example, https://factor.niehs.nih.gov/2019/9/feature/3-feature-lavender#:~:text=%E2%80%9CLO%20%5Blavender%20oil%5D%20is,senior%20author%20Kenneth%20Korach%2C%20Ph.

I love wearing Pour un Homme de Caron. It's my favourite lavander scent.

I have never tried Atkinson’s English Lavender but I was on the magnificent Eau my soul livestream where this fragrance was mentioned. Your and Tania's perception to this scent was one of my favourite moments :)

I live around the corner from Enfleurage and I buy things just to keep them from chasing by me out of the store for vagrancy. I wonder if anyone has ever tried Lavender of Uncle Nestor, from Lothantique, a bath and home fragrance company?? That and Hermetica’s lavender are next for me. I wanted an uncomplicated, white clean shirt lavender fragrance.

You must have also tried lavender absolute which is my personal favourite of the lavenders.

I wonder what you think of Brin De Reglisse by Hermes (a gem that is rumored to be discontinued) - it uses exaltolide as the main musk base (being rather sheer for a musk and I remember correctly you had info that that’s the must the monks also used) and has the addition of a licorice/anisic note which I also remember you loving in the Yojhi Homme.

Delighted you’re delighted by all things lavender. Out in the wilds of West Wales we’ve spent many summers swimming in the prolific oils we’ve distilled - the best of which we blend in our compositions.

I was thinking of getting Caldey’s Island Lavender recently, after reading you swoon over it in the first Guide. Sad to know that I came to that party late. I’ll check out the Atkinsons, though I have never smelled Caron’s Pour Un Homme (I have Yatagan and Troisième). Should probably check out both.

Love Enfleurage! Their Gardenia extract is the best I’ve ever smelled and the standard I measure any perfume that claims to be gardenia-centric.

I’m still searching for my favorite lavender. I’ve tried essential oils and many recommendations of fragrances- soliflores and lavender-heavy fougeres. Beau De Jour comes closest to what I’m looking for. I’ve decided it’s a “good problem to have and enjoy”.

Chewing incense sounds super interesting to me (I even dreamt about it this night). Anyway of getting some and avoiding the overseas shipping? Green or white olibanum?

I am wondering how much one needs to be exposed to lavender essential oil to have hormonal changes... I use it a lot. Even Dr. Bronner's soap ii pick with lavender :)

Too much lavender is probably why I'm mellowing with age...

Lavenders and Lavandins are fascinating! I love Welsh and Kashmiri but I think Maillette is my favorite. For perfumes utilizing it my two favorites are Dasein - Winter and TRNP - Sanctum. I hope you get to try both if you haven’t already.

You'd probably dilute the one with the slight caramellic note in the background... That's what I'd do :)

I have 50 ml total, I’m tempted to make a mix with all of them together.
