Thank you for going the extra mile! I was intrigued by the backstory on 'Sumo Wrestler' and wanted very much to smell the wax. I'm now intrigued by what you're going to do with that slab of wax?
I find it oddly scintillating when the price requires a comma to denote how many thousands of a particular currency are required to complete a small purchase. As a long-time admirer of Sumo aesthetics, and indeed, as a current wearer of a top-knot (or man-bun in the common parlance), I am indeed tempted. Also, I can vouch for the online shopping / shipping experience from Japan. I once ordered Gyokuro from a Belgian uber-geek resident in Japan, a curator of the finest teas that Japan's artisanal masters produce every year, and the experience was exactly as you describe. Highly recommended!
The website says it does not harden, but holds well and gives a shiny appearance. Perhaps you could appeal to a female in your household to give a quick try and give a cursory review? Also, how long does the scent last?
Maybe they assumed that it would not meet western world expectations, but I’m happy to report that it does harden!! Way better than Lush Dirty brilliantine I have used for four years - no shell effect, but a beautiful shine and it holds the hair together. Wonderful stuff.
For anyone there wondering how exactly this wax looks and behaves: look at my profile photo. I just changed it to showcase what is, to me, the best hair styling product I’ve used for years. Do yourself a favor and buy a bar or two - you won’t regret it! Carlynn, Luca - I owe you one 🙏
When I smelt jicky, i thought the story was so interesting, and it smelled like hair oil to me just not very greasy or full of herbs (like our indian hair oils)—now I’m really curious to order this myself because baby powder musk and vanilla sound really sweet and adorable 🥰 and perfect for a sumo wrestler hahah! thanks for the investigative journalism 🫡

Good question.
Maybe you can wax furniture with it
Cut in pieces and give away/sell/ it to the people as a Proof of a Lie?
Very long-lasting soap!
I wonder if it would make a candle, maybe mixed with a harder wax?
Sounds like work…

Ha! If I had hair I’d give it a try!
